BOX SCOREAMBLER, PA. -- The Griffins swept through all six singles matches to go on and defeat Marywood, 7-2, at the Upper Dublin Sports Center Friday evening. The win improves Gwynedd to 5-1 and undefeated in CSAC play at 4-0.
After dropping two of the three doubles matches, GMercyU used big tiebreak wins from junior
Blaine Grisak (Havre, Mt./Havre Public) at #4 and sophomore
Nick Czibik (Brookhaven, Pa./Bonner-Prendergast). Grisak survived through a 9-8 (7-4) victory while Czibik grinded out an 8-7 (7-5) win.
The team travels to Keystone on Saturday for a CSAC tilt. With a win, the Griffins can clinch a playoff berth in the CSAC Team Tournament next weekend.
