BOX SCOREGWYNEDD VALLEY, PA. -- The Gwynedd Mercy Men's Tennis Team nudged their way past the hard-charging Cabrini Cavaliers, 5-4, in a conference clash.
Like a gun-fight at the O.K. Corral, the Griffins' top guns in sophomores
Peter Brezinzski (Hatboro, Pa./Hatboro-Horsham) and
Alexander Channick (Glenmoore, Pa./Collegium Charter) were methodical in their execution of their opponents winning, 8-3.
Second doubles of
Brandon Rodriguez (Eden, Md./Parkside) and
Blaine Grisak (Havre, Mt./Havre Public) pulled out a tough, but critical doubles match, winning 8-3. The Griffins came up with big wins at singles from Breziznski, Channick, and Rodriguez to clinch the match.
Gwynedd Mercy (2-2, 2-1 CSAC) get back at it on Wednesday with a CSAC match at Neumann.
