PHILADELPHIA -- Gwynedd Mercy advanced to the CSAC Team Tournament Championship by defeating Immaculata, 5-0, Friday morning in a semifinal matchup at the Legacy Tennis Center.

The Griffins (11-4) will get a chance to defend their title tomorrow in the final starting at 3:30 p.m. against the winner of the Marywood/Cabrini semifinal.

After GM took the first three at doubles, only two more wins were needed at singles to clinch the match in the best-of-nine wins format. Senior Taylor Michener (Warrington, Pa./Central Bucks South) notched the fourth team point with her straight-set win at #1 singles. Junior Jenna Caffarello (Lansdale, Pa./North Penn) would cement the win as she finished off her straight-set win at #6 singles.
