GWYNEDD VALLEY, PA. -- Gwynedd-Mercy yielded just one second-half goal en route to a 12-7 CSAC win over Neumann in the regular season finale Thursday night.

The Griffins (8-5, 4-2 CSAC) will play in a CSAC Semifinal Game on Tuesday, April 30th. Playoff pairings will be released soon. Check back to the GMC Athletic Website for the latest information.

Seniors Bill Beck (Philadelphia, Pa./Archbishop Ryan) and Mason Risner (Lancaster, Pa./Hempfield) each tallied three goals. Seniors Roy Bakeoven (Philadelphia, Pa./Archbishop Ryan) and Dustan Mangin (Perkasie, Pa./Archbishop Wood), along with freshman Tony McCraw (Lawnton, Pa./Central Dauphin East) all added two goals apiece. Beck and Bakeoven each dished out two assists.

For Beck, his three goals makes him the all-time single-season leader in goals (36). Bakeoven became the all-time career leader in points with 142. His goal with 1:11 left in the first put him over the top.

It was a tale of two halves, as the Knights would net the game's first three goals in the first quarter and lead 3-0 at the 6:03 mark. Mangin would get the Griffins on the board less than a minute later. GM would then score three-straight in just over a minute near the end of the stanza for a 4-3 lead after one.

The Griffins led 7-5 late in the second before a tally from Chris Scott made it a one-goal game. Goalie Ryley O'Keefe (Coatesville, Pa./Bishop Shanahan) and the GM defense would make  some key stops in the Knight's final possession before the break, where Gwynedd led, 7-6.

Bakeoven would set up the first two goals of the third, the latter a man-up goal from Risner. McCraw would add his second unassisted tally at the 8:20 mark to give GM a 10-6 edge. Ryan Eber scored Neumann's final goal of the night with 43 seconds to play in the third.

GM won the groundball battle, 22-13, and outshot the Knights, 43-32.

Eber totaled a team-high three goals while Scott added two. Patrick Rose handed out a game-high three assists.

O'Keefe finished with 15 saves on the evening. Neumann keeper Alex Becker recorded 13.
