GWYNEDD VALLEY, PA. – Multiple goals from four players helped Gwynedd-Mercy pick up an 11-5 win over Richard Stockton on Friday.

Senior Roy Bakeoven (Philadelphia, Pa./Archbishop Ryan) totaled five points on four goals and an assist. Fellow senior Dustan Mangin (Perkasie, Pa./Archbishop Wood) also registered five points with two scores and three helpers. William Beck (Philadelphia, Pa./Archbishop Ryan) and Mason Risner (Lancaster, Pa./Hempfield) each had two goals and two assists.

Goalie Ryley O'Keefe (Coatesville, Pa./Bishop Shanahan) made 13 saves as the Griffins evened their record to 4-4 on the season.

Nick Bologno led the Ospreys (3-6) with three tallies. Teammate Drew Wright added two goals and an assist.

Things looked good after two quick goals from Beck and Risner in the first then a tally from Bakeoven and it was 3-0 Griffins with 9:18 in the quarter. Richard Stockton answered two goals before the end of the stanza to cut it to 3-2.

Bakeoven added his second to open the second. He would later set up freshman Tony McCraw (Lawnton, Pa./Central Dauphin East) on a score with 14 seconds before the half. GM led 5-2 at the break.

Beck would score his team-leading 25th goal to start the third, a man-up tally. The Ospreys tried to keep pace with a score from Wright. Bakeoven would help put the game out of reach with two unassisted goals later in the quarter to help build an 8-3 lead.

McCraw was successful on 9-of-16 faceoffs while grabbing a team-high six groundballs. As a team, GM was good on 25-of-26 clear attempts.

Gwynedd-Mercy is off until Saturday, April 6th when they welcome Marywood in  CSAC action starting at noon.
