BOX SCORE
RADNOR, PA. -- The Gwynedd-Mercy Women's Tennis Team extended their undefeated streak within the conference with a solid 9-0 victory over Cabrini.
Inspired by impressive performances by team captains
Chelsea Jones (Tamaqua, Pa./Tamaqua), and
Rachel Fein (Blue Bell, Pa./Wissahickon), the squad responded in tow, including freshman
Zachara Harley (Wyndmoor, Pa./Springfield), who overcame a deficit to win 8-4 in a pro-set.
Caroline Lockwood (Overland Park, Kan./Blue Valley North) was dominant in her performance, as was
Gabby Muller (Washington Twp., N.J./Washington Twp.). Junior
Kellie Booth (Collegeville, Pa./Perkiomen Valley) clearly showed how three years in the program have benefited her, with her rock-solid win in veteran-like fashion.
The Griffins (9-1, 7-0 CSAC) look to take on Baptist Bible tomorrow at home at 1 p.m in a CSAC matchup. With a win, GM can secure a playoff spot in the conference team tournament, where they can defend their championship for a fifth time.
