Not only did senior Christina Smith run in her first 400 meter race of the season, she ran a personal best and ECAC qualifying, and school record time of 59.75 as the Griffin Track & Field Team participated at the Susquehanna Open hosted by Susquehanna University on Saturday, February 20th.
Smith, who also part of the distance medley relay team, running the mile leg, turned in a memorable performance despite being under the weather. That DMR relay team Smith, freshman Kaitlyn Lutz, junior Cierra Adkins, and sophomore Emily Makara finished third overall with a time of 13:13.40, just missing the ECAC qualifying time.
