Freshmen, Dukuly and Heft Score AEC Women’s Track and Field Weekly Honor Roll Recognition
Lancaster, Pa. – (3/26/2025) – Gwynedd Mercy University freshmen, Fanta Dukuly (Philadelphia, Pa.) and Truly Heft (East Greenville, Pa.) were recent selections to the Atlantic East Conference (AEC) Women’s Track and Field Weekly Honor Roll for their performances at the Stockton University Invitational. Dukuly placed second in the 100-Meter with a time of 12.85 and 13th in the 200-Meter with a time of 27.65. Meanwhile, Heft was a major contributor to the Griffins’ efforts in the field events as she placed 12th (26.80) in the Javelin, 13th (9.35) in the Shot Put, and 20th (23.61) in the Discus.
Marywood University swept the AEC Women’s Track Athlete and Field Athlete of the Week awards thanks to the respective performances of senior Lany Straub (Shickshinny, Pa.) and freshman Kalie Fernandez-Naughton (New Berlin, N.Y.).
The Gwynedd Mercy University men's and women's track and field teams return to Stockton University next Saturday, March 29, when they compete in the Osprey Open.
