Gordon and Colliluori Collect AEC Women’s Lacrosse Weekly Honor Roll Recognition

Lancaster, Pa. – (2/13/2025) – Gwynedd Mercy University midfielders, sophomore Rebecca Gordon (Sicklerville, N.J.) and freshman Elena Colliluori (Gilbertsville, Pa.) received recognition on the Atlantic East Conference (AEC) Women’s Lacrosse Weekly Honor Roll for their contributions to the Griffins’ recent losses to Arcadia University (L, 6-9 on Feb. 19) and Delaware Valley University (DVU) (L, 9-19 on Feb. 21). Gordon totaled 2 points (1 goal, 1 assist) and two draw controls versus the Knights, before recording five points (2 goals, 3 assists) and a draw control against the Aggies. Meanwhile, Colliluori offered a goal, a caused turnovers, and a two draw controls opposite Arcadia University before shining in opposition to DVU with four goals, a ground ball, a caused turnover, and four draw controls.

Immaculata University fifth-year midfielder Jacki Murray (Malvern. Pa.) was named the AEC Women’s Lacrosse Player of the Week, while the AEC Women’s Lacrosse Defensive Player of the Week title went to Marymount University senior defender Abby Dunn (Pasadena, Md.). Gordon and Colliluori were joined on the AEC Women’s Lacrosse Weekly Honor Roll by Neumann University graduates Lindsey Fagan (Norwood, Pa.) and Abbie Fenton (Marmora, N.J.), Marywood junior midfielder Kaitlyn Smith (Merrick, N.Y.), Immaculata University senior midfielder Kelsey Caldarelli (Elkton, Md.), and Marymount University senior attack Taylor Chepren (Mercersburg, Pa.).

Gwynedd Mercy University (0-3) played a tightly contested home opener against Arcadia University (1-0) on Wednesday afternoon. The Knights owned a 5-2 halftime lead, but a strong third quarter brought the Griffins to within a goal; 6-5. Unfortunately, a Colliluori score was all the Red ad Gold could muster in a fourth-quarter effort that left them three goals shy; 9-6 (1:40). The Griffins’ hung around in the first half at DVU as four Colliluori scores left the Griffins down two, 10-8 (3:25), at intermission. But the second half looked significantly different with the Aggies marking nine goals before a Red and Gold response; 19-9 (2:38).

Gwynedd Mercy University returns to action on Wednesday, February 26, when they visit Wilkes University for a 7:00 p.m. contest.
