Soubik Scores Earns AEC Men’s Track and Field Weekly Honor Roll Recognition

Branden Soubik (Lansdale, Pa.) played a role in 15 of the Griffins’ 19 points (T9
th of 15, 19 points) at Elizabethtown College’s Blue Jay Tune Up (Apr. 26-27) to earn a spot on the
Atlantic East Conference (AEC) Men’s Track and Field Weekly Honor Roll. The AEC Men’s Track Athlete of the Week award went to Marywood University junior Jack Baronski (Peckville, Pa.), while the AEC Men’s Field Athlete of the Week went title went to Immaculata University junior Dylan Crews (Philadelphia, Pa.).
Soubik led Gwynedd Mercy University to a ninth-place tie with his second-place finish (52.79) in the 400-Meter earning the Griffins eight points and his sixth-place finish (23.31) in the 200-Meter earning them another three. He was joined in the latter by junior
Victor Cruz (New Castle, Del.), who finished a spot ahead of him with a 23.20 earning the other four Red and Gold points. The pair also joined juniors
Mike Marable (Philadelphia, Pa.) and
Aquil Stewart (Philadelphia, Pa.) for a four-point, fifth-place finish (44.60) in the 4x100-Meter Relay.
The Gwynedd Mercy University men's track and field team competes next on Friday, May 3, when they welcome their league foes to the Athletic Complex for the 2024 AEC Men’s and Women’s Track and Field Championships.
