Seaman and Courts Earn AEC Men’s Lacrosse Weekly Honor Roll Accolades

Gunnar Seaman (Worcester, Pa.) and junior faceoff
Evan Courts (Bellefonte, Pa.) both earned spots on the
Atlantic East Conference (AEC) Men’s Lacrosse Weekly Honor Roll for
their play the Griffins’ 24-3 victory over Centenary University. Seaman scored a hat trick in the opening 2:36 the affair and finished it with five points (4 goals, 1 assist) and recovered two ground balls, while Courts ensured Gwynedd Mercy University possession with a team-high nine ground balls and a 14-of-18 (.778) success rate in the circle.
Gwynedd Mercy University (7-7, 5-0) wasted little time establishing a comfortable lead over Centenary University (NJ) (0-13, 0-4) as a dozen first-quarter scores led the Griffins to an eventual 24-3 victory in their home finale. The Griffins dominated the Cyclones in every statistical category; they out-shot the Cyclones 56-27, committed less turnovers (14-20), nearly doubled their ground ball total (55-28), controlled the face-off (25-of-31, .806), and finished perfect on the clear (14-of-14, 1.000). Gwynedd Mercy University had nine players finish with multiple points, including a six-point (3 goals, 3 assists) performance from sophomore midfielder
Ian Kish (Easton, Pa.) and Seaman’s five-point effort.
Gwynedd Mercy University completes their AEC and regular season schedules next Wednesday, April 26, when they visit #15 Cabrini University for a 4:00 p.m. contest.
