Hannah Cohen (North Wales, Pa.) was named to the
Atlantic East Conference (AEC) Softball Weekly Honor Roll after going 6-for-7 (.857) with a run and two runs-batted-in (RBI) in a doubleheader versus Penn State Abington (Apr. 23); she homered in the first game and plated a run in game two with a first-inning single.
Cohen was joined on the AEC Softball Weekly Honor Roll by Marywood University freshman pitcher/utility Amber Little (West Milford, N.J.) and sophomore pitcher/outfielder Brianna Voyer (Mineola, N.Y.). The AEC Softball Player of the Week award was Marymount University senior utility Kaylee Atkins (ChesapeakeVa.), while the AEC Softball Pitcher of the Week was Neumann University graduate pitcher/utility Marina Costello (Swedesboro, N.J.).
Gwynedd Mercy University (9-25) hosted Penn State Abington (16-20) for the final doubleheader of the 2026 season at Frank O. Genuardi Legends Field. There, they lost game one by a 5-3 spread and game two by a 7-4 measure. Senior shortstop
Hannah Smith (Levittown, Pa) hit an inside the park home run for the final run of the game one (5-3). Cohen was 3-for-3 including her third-inning home that gave the Griffins a 2-1 lead in the third inning. In game two, Cohen stayed hot at the plate, going 3-for-4 with an RBI; she singled in a run with a ball to short in the first inning (1-1) and singled again in the fifth and seventh inning with two more balls back through the box.
Gwynedd Mercy University travels to Marywood University on Monday, April 27, when they visit the Pacers for a 3:00 p.m. Atlantic East Conference (AEC) doubleheader.
