Chester, Pa. - (3/29/2026) - Gwynedd Mercy University's men's and women's track and field teams continued their outdoor season with Friday (Mar. 27) and Saturday (Mar. 28) competition at Widener University's Danny Curran Invitational. The Griffin men celebrated three personal bests as freshman Conner Brennan (Hatboro, Pa.), senior Sebastian DeSimone (West Orange, N.J.), and sophomore Tyson Scheitrum (Harrisburg, Pa.) respectively accomplished the feat in the 5,000-Meter (70th, 15:55.59), 10,000-Meter (56th, 37:13.43), and the Discus (9th, 41.30); the third was also a Red and Gold all-time record distance. Scheitrum also threw the Shot Put for a season's best 11.22 meters and placed 47th in the event.

Gwynedd Mercy University returns to action on Saturday, April 11, when they visit Rowan University for the Prof's Oscar Moore Invitational.
