New Orleans, La. – (2/17/2026) – Gwynedd Mercy University women's cross country was recently recognized for their work in the classroom as the Griffins were honored as a
2025 United States Track and Field/Cross Country Coaches Association (USTFCCCA) National Collegiate Athletic Association (NCAA) Division III Women's Cross Country All-Academic Team. In order to qualify for the USTFCCCA All-Academic distinction, teams must have a cumulative grade point average (GPA) of 3.1 or higher through the most recent grading period, among other qualifiers.
The women's cross country team combined for a 3.23 team GPA this fall and had three student-athletes garner recognition on the Fall 2025, Gwynedd Mercy University Athletic Academic Elite; sophomore
Ava Ezzie (Drexel Hill, Pa.), and freshmen
Abigail Flannery (Cinnaminson, N.J.) and
Hannah Satalin (Schwenksville, Pa.). The Gwynedd Mercy University women's cross country team last received the honor in 2022.
The 2025 USTFCCCA Women's Cross Country National Scholar Team of the Year was New York University (3.65 GPA) while the individual, Scholar Athlete of the Year title was bestowed on Middlebury College junior Audrey MacLean (Tiburon, Calf.).
