Collegeville, Pa. - (1/31/2026) - The Gwynedd Mercy University men's and women's track and field teams returned to Alvernia University today for the PLEX Shootout. The Red and Gold celebrated two Top-10 finishers in the women's 200-Meter as sophomores Fanta Dukuly ( Philadelphia, Pa.) and Ava Ezzie (Drexel Hill, Pa.) respectively placed eighth (8th, 27.75) and ninth (9th, 27.81) in the field. On the men's side, sophomore Tyson Scheitrum (Harrisburg, Pa.) continued to make headlines by topping his school record in the Weight throw again with a swing of 13.22 meters (15th).

The Gwynedd Mercy University men's and women's track and field teams continue their indoor season on Saturday, February 7, when they visit Franklin and Marshall College for the Diplomats Mini Dip Invitational. The event is scheduled for a 10:00 a.m. start.
