Gwynedd Mercy University Cheerleading Announces Assistant Coach Hires for 2025-2026
Gwynedd Valley, Pa. – (1/23/2026) – Gwynedd Mercy University Head Cheerleading Coach Heather Charlton is pleased to introduce a pair of assistant coaches for the 2025-2026 season in Reanna Bull and Kelsey Mello. "Both of these women have already proven to be incredibly helpful throughout our training for this season." She continued, "Their experience in cheerleading has directly impacted the skill level, flow, and performance quality of our program." Bull has been coaching cheerleading for over a decade, beginning her journey at Mary Mother of the Redeemer Catholic School and later at programs such as Lansdale Catholic High School and Montgomery County Community College. Meanwhile, a Massachusetts native, Mello has been involved in cheerleading since the age of three. She continued in cheerleading through high school and later at Thomas Jefferson University, where she served as team captain during her senior year.

Throughout her career, Bull has led teams to impressive achievements, including an 8th-place finish at Universal Cheerleaders Association (UCA) High School Nationals and a 3rd-place at the Pennsylvania Interscholastic Athletic Association (PIAA) State Championship. Coach Bull holds a bachelor's degree in fine arts and a master's degree in early childhood education from Arcadia University and she is currently working toward a professional career as an elementary school art teacher. She brings her creativity and passion for the arts into her coaching, fostering an environment where student-athletes can grow in both skill and self-expression.

Mello recently completed a clinical rotation with the Gwynedd Mercy University Athletic Training staff, through which she fell in love with the community and student-athletes. In her free time, she enjoys spending time with family and friends, staying active, and attending sporting events. Mello holds a bachelor's degree in exercise science and she is currently in her final year of Thomas Jefferson University's athletic training master's program.
