Reading, Pa. - (9/27/2025) - Gwynedd Mercy rode a career performance from senior forward Kira Bradley (Langhorne, Pa.), who scored all four goals, to power past Albright College (0-7-1) 4-2 on Saturday afternoon at Shirk Stadium. The win lifts the Griffins above .500 at 5-4-1 on the season.
Bradley wasted little time making her presence felt, striking just 2:35 into the match to give Gwynedd Mercy an early 1-0 lead. After Albright briefly equalized in the 9th minute (9:23), Bradley responded with authority, tallying goals in the 19th (18:52) and 34th (33:38) minutes to complete a first-half hat trick and put the Griffins up 3-1 at the break.
She wasn't done yet, less than two minutes into the second half (47:07), Bradley buried her fourth of the afternoon, stretching the lead to 4-1 and effectively sealing the victory.
The Griffins made the most of their chances, recording 12 shots with 8 on target, compared to Albright's 14 attempts. Gwynedd's goalkeeping tandem of seniors Madisson Ronn (Warrington, Pa.) and Natalie Gablein (Philadelphia, Pa.) combined for 9 saves to stifle the Lions' attack.
Griffin Highlights:
- Ronn started the first half of the contest, finishing with four saves and the win (3-1), while Gablein sealed the door with a game-high five saves.
- Both the Griffins and the Lions had their opportunities in the offensive zone with both teams tallying four corner kicks apiece.
Gwynedd Mercy University returns to action on Wednesday, October 1, as the team returns to the Athletic Complex to take on Penn State Schuylkill for a 7:00 p.m. contest.
