Gwynedd Valley, Pa. - (9/19/2025) - Gwynedd Mercy University (3-4) had trouble finding their mark in tonight's 3-0 (18-25, 22-25, 19-25) loss to Wentworth Institute of Technology (8-3). The Griffins took a 7-2 lead off the opening serve, but quickly lost their way as the Leopards evened the set at 9-9 and used a late 9-5 run to a 25-18 final. With momentum in-hand, Wentworth IT stayed a few points ahead throughout a 25-22 second-set win and kept their distance even more in a 25-19 conclusion. Senior middle hitter
Charlotte Pugh (Philadelphia, Pa.) was the Red and Gold's top scorer with 10.0 points on nine kills and two block assists. Senior setter
Ayanna Gaston (Middletown, Del.) provided 20 assists, an ace, and seven digs, while sophomore outside hitter
Annalise Kuppel (Estell Manor, N.J.) was a major contributor for the Griffins as well with six kills, an assist, two aces, and 11 digs.
