Chambersburg, Pa. - (9/1/2025) - Gwynedd Mercy University (1-1) traveled to Wilson College (1-0-1) for a Labor Day matchup. These two teams saw each other last season, with the Phoenix walking away with a 3-0 victory. The Griffins' defense did a phenomenal job in the first half, not allowing a shot attempt. Wilson's first shot came at 49:54, leading to the only goal scored in the contest as the Red and Gold fell 1-0. Senior goalkeepers Madisson Ronn (Warrington, Pa.) and Natalie Gablein (Philadelphia, Pa.) split duties in the net as the former started the first half, and the latter played the final 45 minutes. Gablein finished with three saves in the contest.  

Griffin Highlights: 

• The Griffins controlled play most of the contest, including leading in the shots department (17-10) and shots on goal (10-4). Senior forward Kira Bradley (Langhorne, Pa.) finished with a game-high three shots on goal, while junior defender Rebecca Gordon (Sicklerville, N.J.) had a game-high four shots. 
• Gwynedd Mercy had four corner kick opportunities (three in the first half and one in the second) but was unable to capitalize on the opportunities.  

Gwynedd Mercy University returns to action on Wednesday, September 3, when the team travels to Penn State Abington for a 4:30 p.m. kickoff.
