Phoenixville, Pa. - (8/29/2025) - The 2025 Gwynedd Mercy Women's Soccer team came into 2025 winning its previous two season openers and looked to make it three in a row, traveling to the University of Valley Forge. The Griffins wasted no time in finding the back of the net to jumpstart their 2025 season as junior midfielder Bridget Cannon (Bensalem, Pa.) netted the first goal of the season just 34 seconds into the season. The red and gold would go on to score three more unanswered goals and put together a balanced team effort to secure a 4-0 victory. Senior captain Natalie Gablein (Philadelphia, Pa.) started in goal for Gwynedd Mercy and recorded the win (1-0), recording one save in 74:53 minutes of game action. Freshman goalkeeper Zoe Davis (Riverside, N.J.) played the remaining 15:07 in the contest and recorded her first collegiate save to help secure the shutout (82:25).
