Lancaster, Pa. – (4/15/2025) – Gwynedd Mercy University freshmen Fanta Dukuly (Philadelphia, Pa.) was named the Atlantic East Conference (AEC) Women's Track Athlete of the Week as she earned the Griffins six points toward their tie for 17th place (17^th of 20, 8 points) with her third-place finish (3^rd, 12.75) in the 100-Meter and her ninth-place finish in the 200-Meter (9^th, 27.23). Fellow freshman, Truly Heft (East Greenville, Pa.) was recognized on the AEC Women's Track and Field Weekly Honor Roll for her throws in the Hammer (40^th, 23.66) and Javelin (28^th, 22.06).
 
Opposite Dukuly, Pratt Institute sophomore Hannah Kim (Camas, Wash.) named the AEC Women's Field Athlete of the Week. Heft was joined on the AEC Women's Track and Field Weekly Honor Roll by Marywood University senior Lany Straub (Shickshinny, Pa.), Pratt Institute senior Siena Sujitno (Toronto, Canada), as well as Immaculata University sophomores Aubrey Donahue (Sewell, N.J.) and Maggie Friend (Lansdale, Pa.).
 
The Gwynedd Mercy University women's track and field team returns to action on Sunday, April 27 (9:30 a.m.), when they welcome local rivals for the GMercyU Last Chance Meet.
