Gwynedd Valley, Pa. - (3/8/2025) - Gwynedd Mercy University (1-5) liked the way things looked midway through the first quarter as junior attack Gunnar Seaman (Worcester, Pa.) (10:56, 6:56) bookend a tally from senior attack Dominic Romania (Phoenixville, Pa.) (9:15) to give the Griffins a 3-1 lead with 6:56 remaining in the first quarter. Unfortunately, a pair of Nichols College (1-4) man-up goals (3:51, 1:31) laid the ground work for a 17-10 Bison victory. Seaman finished with five goals, an assist, nine shots, three ground balls, and a caused turnover. Junior attack Josh Devine (Pottstown, Pa.) was a major contributor as well with four points (1 goal, 3 assists), nine shots, three ground balls, two caused turnovers.

Griffin Highlights

• After an opening tally (1-0, 13:50) from Nichols College, Gwynedd Mercy University stole a 3-1 lead with a series of scores. Seaman and Romania each score unassisted tallies before Devine found Seaman for a second score at 6:56; 3-1.
• Facing an 11-5 deficit, the Griffins used a 3-1 third-quarter run to narrow the gap to four goals; 12-8.
• In support of Seaman and Devine, Romania offered a strong afternoon with two goals, three shots, and four ground balls.
• Senior goalkeeper Jared Devine (Pottstown, Pa.) totaled 20 saves and three ground balls in the loss (1-5).
