Doylestown, Pa. - (3/12/2025) - Gwynedd Mercy University (2-6) had no problem dealing Delaware Valley University (3-1) their first loss of the season thanks to the consistent contributions of Ian Kish (Easton, Pa.); the Griffin senior midfielder scored seven times and recovered three ground balls in a 12-2 Red and Gold victory. Gwynedd Mercy University controlled the contest with a 26-of-28 (.929) success rate on clears and a 10-of-15 (.667) face-off performance from freshman Edson Robles (Dover, Del.). Senior goalkeeper Jared Devine (Pottstown, Pa.) (2-6) made eight saves in his 12 win as a Griffin; his sixth save of the affair marked the 400th of his career at Gwynedd Mercy University and his last established him as the program's all-time leader.


Griffin Highlights

• Kish scored a pair of unassisted goals (3:46, 0:23) in the first quarter and junior attack Gunnar Seaman (Worcester, Pa.) bookend (13:32, 3:46) his second-quarter score (4-0, 8:16) to give Gwynedd Mercy University a 5-0 halftime lead.
• In the third quarter, Kish reciprocated the Seaman scores with tallies (12:10, 8:22) on either end of a Kish score that brought the difference to 7-0 (10:46).
• After Delaware Valley University's first score (8-1, 7:45, 3rd QTR), two more Griffin goals in the third (4:48, 0:07) and a pair of four-quarter scores from Kish (13:46, 9:06) cleared the path for a ten-goal Red and Gold victory; 12-2 (6:15).
• Robles recovered nine of Gwynedd Mercy University's season-high 43 ground balls.

Gwynedd Mercy University looks to continue their winning ways on Saturday, March 15, when they host Mount Saint Mary College (N.Y.) in a 1:00 p.m. contest.
