Mike Marable (Philadelphia, Pa.) did all he could to keep the Griffins in contention, but an 8-of-15 (.533) showing at the free throw line and a 38-24 Cyclones rebounding advantage led to the upset. Jalen Snead (Philadelphia, Pa.) led the Red and Gold with 14 points off the bench.

- Senior guard Aquil Stewart (Philadelphia, Pa.) hit a three-point basket to give Gwynedd Mercy University their largest lead of the game; 25-15 (9:59).
- Unfortunately, Centenary University chipped away at the Griffin advantage, using 42 points in the paint and 31 points off Griffin turnovers (16).
- Snead paired his career-high 14 points with two rebounds, and two assists.
- Marable finished with 12 points, four rebounds, four assists, and three steals.
- Graduate guard Shawn Summers Jr. (Montclair, N.J.) also recorded 12 points. He also offered a team-high six rebounds, three assists, a block, and a steal.
- Senior forward Dom Thomas (Mullica Hill, N.J.) was the fourth Griffin in double figures. He finished with 10 points on 5-of-6 (.833) shooting.
