Biography
FRESHMAN (2022-2023) – Johnson (27gp-27gs) was named the Atlantic East Conference (AEC) Rookie of the Year after ranking among the AEC Top-10 in assists (7th, 75), assists per game (APG) (8th, 2.8), steals (1st, 62), and assists/turnovers (3rd, 1.67). He led started all 27 games at point and averaged 26.1 minutes (705 total minutes) per contest while helping redirect Gwynedd Mercy University from a 0-5 start to a 14-13 finish.
SOPHOMORE (2023-2024) – Johnson (27gp-13gs) continued to be a significant contributor out of the Griffin backcourt with 6.4 PPG (173 points), 3.7 rebounds per game (RPG) (100 rebounds), 60 assists (2.2/game), three blocks (0.1/game), and 30 steals (1.1/game). He recorded a career-high 10 rebounds in a 76-68 loss to Delaware Valley University (Nov. 21), earned an AEC Weekly Honor Roll appearance on November 14, and was named the AEC Defensive Player of the Week on December 4 after spiriting a 72-57 victory over Salisbury University (Nov. 29) with 12 points, four rebounds, six assists, a block, and three steals.
JUNIOR (2024-2025) – Johnson (26gp-18gs) averaged 6.3 points (164) and 3.1 rebounds (80) off eight blocks and 49 steals. Johnson was the AEC Defensive Player of the Week on December 2 with a Weekly Honor Roll mention on November 18.
SENIOR (2025-2026) – Johnson (26gp-26gs) led Gwynedd Mercy University with 13.6 points and 5.8 rebounds per game while totaling 86 assist (3.3/game), 67 steals (2.6/game), and nine blocks (0.3/game). He was the AEC league leader in steals (1st, 67) and steals per game (1st, 2.6 SPG), while also ranking among the AEC Top-10 in FT% (2nd, .780; 85-of-109), assist to turnover ratio (2nd, 2.2), assists (3rd, 86), assists per game (3rd, 3.3 APG), rebounds (5th, 152), defensive rebounds (6th, 115), free throws made (7th, 84), points (8th, 342), points per game (8th, 13.7 PPG), and rebounds per game (T10th, 5.8 RPG). The Gwynedd Mercy University captain earned four AEC Defensive Player of the Week awards (Nov. 10, Jan. 12., Feb. 16) and five AEC Weekly Honor Roll appearances (Dec. 15, Jan. 5, Jan. 26, Feb. 9, Feb. 23) on the way to an AEC First Team selection and the AEC Defensive Player of the Year title.
