Gwynedd Valley, Pa. - (11/22/2025) - Gwynedd Mercy University (5-1) was on their mark in the first half of today's 93-85 victory at the University of Valley Forge as the Griffins hit 6-of-11 (.545) from three-point range and found their way to the free throw line regularly - 10-of-15 (.667) - en route to a 44-36 halftime lead. After intermission, the Red and Gold continued to hit the three-point basket - 6-of-13 (.462) - using perimeter success to grow their lead to as many as 20 points (64-44, 13:46) before holding off several Patriot rallies in the eight-point conclusion. Jalen Snead (Philadelphia, Pa.) as the captain led four Griffins in double figures with 34 points, while commanding the court with four rebounds, four assists, and five steals.

- Gwynedd Mercy University turned the tide forever in their favor midway through the first half as some hard work from senior guard Devin Benson (Williamstown, N.J.) grabbed the Griffins a 22-19 (10:54) advantage and got the Red and Gold their mojo back.
- At the start of the second half, Gwynedd Mercy University toed the arch early and often with long range buckets from sophomore guard Bruce Smith (Philadelphia, Pa.) (18:05), senior guard D.J. Johnson (Norristown, Pa.) (17:09), graduate guard Dylan Harris (Bloomsburg, Pa.) (15:24, 14:36), and Snead (13:46) extending the Griffins to their 20-point perch; 64-44 (13:46).
- Snead was joined in double figures by Harris (15 points), Smith (11), and Johnson (10). Benson finished with nine points, four rebounds, an assist, and two steals.
- Harris was 4-of-9 (.444) from three-point range. He also grabbed a team-high seven rebounds, while recording four assists and a steal.
- Snead and Johnson were 2-of-2, while Smith (1-of-1, 1.000), Benson (1-of-3, .333), senior guard Jake Okon (Yonkers, N.Y.) (1-of-2, .500), and junior guard Mazen Sayed (Chichester, Pa.) (1-of-3, .333) added the Griffins' other three-point baskets.
Gwynedd Mercy University compete again next Saturday, November 29, when they visit National Collegiate Athletic Association (NCAA) Division I member, University of Maryland Eastern Shore for a 4:00 p.m. exhibition.
