Aston, Pa. - (10/25/2025) – Gwynedd Mercy University (5-14, 0-3) played in their final tri-match for their 2025 season, taking on Atlantic East Conference (AEC) opponent Neumann University (11-11, 2-1) in game one and King's College (Pa.) (12-9, 1-4) in game two. Both contests took all five sets to decide a winner. Unfortunately, the red and gold lost both deciding sets (16-25, 27-25, 22-25, 25-21, 11-15) (15-25, 25-21, 26-24, 20-25, 4-15). Senior right side/middle hitter Charlotte Pugh (Philadelphia, Pa.) and junior outside hitter Kate Etter (Chambersburg, Pa.) were the leading killers for the Griffins in the contest, with the former finishing with a total of 32 kills while the latter finished with 28.

Gwynedd Mercy University vs. Neumann University
- Despite the setback, the Griffins showcased their most balanced attack of the season. Etter led the charge with 18 kills and 21 digs, while Pugh added 17 kills and three service aces to go along with 22 digs. Senior setter Ayanna Gaston (Middletown, Del.) directed the offense efficiently, dishing out 45 assists and serving up three aces of her own.
- The Griffins' front line combined for seven total blocks, led by sophomore middle hitter Emma Hastings (Collingswood, N.J.) and sophomore middle blocker Sydney Pryor (West Chester, Pa.), who each chipped in multiple assisted blocks to slow Neumann's attack.
- Defensively, the Griffins were sharp, recording 89 digs as a team. Freshman defensive specialist P.J. Mendoza (Kennet Square, Pa.) anchored the back row with 21 digs, while Etter and Pugh each contributed over 20.
Gwynedd Mercy University vs. King's College (Pa.)
- Pugh finished with a game-high 15 kills, while recording a blocked shot and two assists to secure 16 points.
- Freshman setter Macie Ferla (Mickleton, N.J.) had a career match, finishing with career-highs in assists (32), server aces (5), and digs (7).
Gwynedd Mercy University returns home for its next contest as the team hosts AEC foe Marymount University on Wednesday, October 29, for a 6:00 p.m. start time.
