Center Valley, Pa. - (10/11/2025) - The Gwynedd Mercy University men's and women's cross country teams resumed their 2025 schedule with today's impressive runs at the DeSales University Invitational. The Griffin women were led by freshman Abigail Flannery (Cinnaminson, N.J.), who paced them for a seventh-place finish (7th of 8, 168 points) with her 15th-place six-kilometer (6K) 25:39.9. Her classmate, freshman Conner Brennan (Hatboro, Pa.) was the top Griffin finisher in the men's eight-kilometer (8K) with his 47th-place time of 28:45.20. The women's 6K was won by the Penn State Club Team (1st of 8, 34 points), but the hosting Bulldogs provided the individual winner in sophomore Ellie Kozich (Mountain Top, Pa.) who completed the race in 22:01.7. The men's 8K was won by Stevens Institute of Technology (1st of 8, 48 points), but the Skulldogs provided the individual winner in Eric Ricco who complete the race in 26:14.20.

The Gwynedd Mercy University men's and women's cross country teams compete next on Saturday, October 18, when the Griffins visit Rowan University for the Border Battle (10:00 a.m./11:00 a.m.).
