Hackettstown, N.J. (4/24/2024) - Gwynedd Mercy University (8-7, 5-1 AEC) traveled to Centenary University (N.J.) (1-13, 0-6 AEC) to play in their final regular season game of the 2024 season. After dropping their first Atlantic East Conference (AEC) contest to Cabrini University, the Griffins rattled off five straight wins including today to allow the Red and Gold to clinch the two seed in the AEC tournament. Gwynedd Mercy capitalized their regular season finish with a team-high 25 goals in today's contest as the Griffins defeated the Cyclones 25-7. Junior midfielder Ian Kish (Easton, Pa.) finished with a career-high six goals in the contest and an assist giving him seven points.

(3), junior midfielder Richie Hughes (Turnersville, N.J.) (2), sophomore attacker Nick Citrigno (Southampton, Pa.) (2), freshman attacker Jeremiah Destin (Philadelphia, Pa.) (2), senior midfielder Jack Freeland (Riverton, N.J.) (2), junior attacker Dominic Romania (Phoenixville, Pa.) (1), senior midfielder Shane Langefeld (Hainesport, N.J.) (1), sophomore faceoff Jake Tedeschi (Goshen, N.Y.) (1), and senior midfielder Justin Carney (Flemington, N.J.) (1).
- Back-to-back AEC defensive player of the week junior goalkeeper Jared Devine (Pottstown, Pa.) started in net for Gwynedd Mercy and finished with two saves in the win (8-7). With Devine only playing 10:53 both freshman goalkeeper Ryan Daley (Wilmington, Del.) and sophomore goalkeeper Grady Mumm (Forest Hill, Md.) both saw action in between the pipes. The former finished with two saves and the latter finished with three.
Gwynedd Mercy University is back in action on Wednesday, May 1, as they await their opponent they will be hosting in the AEC semifinals.
