Immaculata, Pa. (4/13/2024) - Gwynedd Mercy University (5-7, 2-1 AEC) traveled to Immaculata University (7-5, 1-2 AEC) as the Griffins searched for a second straight victory over an Atlantic East Conference (AEC) foe. With the Griffins losing the first quarter three goals to two, the Red and Gold would not lose another quarter and win the contest 14-10. Sophomore attacker Gunnar Seaman (Worcester, Pa.) tied a season-high in goals with four as well as three assist to finish with a season-high seven points.
Griffin Highlights:
- Junior goalkeeper Jared Devine (Pottstown, Pa.) continued his impressive week in the net for the Griffins. Devine finished with 15 saves in the win (5-7).
- For the first time this season, Gwynedd Mercy won the faceoff category as they finished with 15 faceoff wins compared to Immaculata's 13.
- Joining Seaman in the goal category was senior attacker Nick Flamma (Sewell, N.J.) (3) sophomore attacker Josh Devine (Pottstown, Pa.) (2), senior midfielder Justin Carney (2), junior defenseman Ryan Wilkins (Galloway, N.J.) (1), junior midfielder Richie Hughes (Turnersville, N.J.) (1), and junior midfielder Ian Kish (Easton, Pa.) (1).
Gwynedd Mercy University returns to action on Wednesday, April 17, when they host Marywood University for a 7:00 p.m. AEC contest.
