Lancaster, Pa. – (3/25/2024) – Gwynedd Mercy University senior Branden Soubik (Lansdale, Pa.) and junior Christion Johnson (Middletown, Del.) were respectively recognized as the Atlantic East Conference (AEC) Men's Track and Field Performers of the Week after their efforts at West Chester University's Purple and Gold Invitational (Mar. 23).
 
The Griffins tied for 13th in the men's field of 18 teams with eight total points; all eight points were earned by Soubik, who earned five points with a fourth-place finish (23.96) in the 200-Meter and three points with a sixth-place finish (54.36) in the 400-Meter. Johnson placed 10^th in the Javelin with a throw of 34.44 meters.    
 
The Gwynedd Mercy University track and field teams continue their outdoor schedule on Saturday, April 6, when they visit Muhlenberg College.
