Late Runs Push Osprey Past Griffins

Gwynedd Valley, Pa. - (3/19/2024) - Gwynedd Mercy University (5-8) held an early lead over Stockton College (8-7) with three runs in the first inning (3-0) and insured it with a run in the fourth inning (4-2), but crooked numbers in the Osprey's seventh (3 runs, 5-4) and eighth innings (8 runs, 12-5) pushed the visitors to an eventual 14-7 win. Junior left fielder Cooper Root (Runnemede, N.J.) (2-for-4), junior designated hitter Ricky Templeton (West Deptford, N.J.) (2-for-4), and senior second baseman Frank Ebling (Cherry Hill, N.J.) (2-for-3) each recorded a pair of hits; the last knocked in three runs with a fourth-inning double to center (4-2) and an eighth-inning double to right center (7-13).
