Kish Has A Career Day Against The Aggies

Gwynedd Valley, Pa. (3/13/2024) - Gwynedd Mercy University (1-6) welcomed Delaware Valley University (2-3) to the Athletic Complex where the Griffins were still in search of their first win of the young season. Junior midfielder Ian Kish (Easton, Pa.) had himself a career day as the junior finished with a game and career-high four assists in the contest. Kish finished with six points on two goals, two ground balls, and one caused turnover. With 10:58 remaining in the third quarter freshman attack Jeremiah Destin (Philadelphia, Pa.) netted his first collegiate career goal from a beautiful feed from Kish. The Griffins would go on to beat the Aggies 15-6 giving Gwynedd Mercy their first win of the 2024 season.

Griffin Highlights:
  • The Griffins had a complete team victory. Offensively the team registered 54 shots throughout the contest and were also four-for-four (100%) on extra man opportunities. Defensively the red and gold were outstanding with their clear attempts as Gwynedd Mercy was 24-of-26 (92%) and only allowed the Aggies 26 shots in the contest.
  • Not only was Kish an offensive nightmare for Delaware Valley, but four different Griffins finished with multiple goals. Senior midfielder Justin Carney (Flemington, N.J.) finished with a game-high and tied a career-high with four goals in the match. Senior midfielder Jack Freeland (Riverton, N.J.) finished with three goals, sophomore attack Nick Citrigno (Southampton, Pa.) finished with two, and Kish finished with two as well.
  • Junior goalkeeper Jared Devine (Pottstown, Pa.) finished with six saves in 50:06 minutes in between the pipes for Gwynedd Mercy and earned his first win of the season (1-6).
