Westminster, Md. - (9/20/2023) - Gwynedd Mercy University (1-3-2) traveled south on I-95 to take on McDaniel College (3-0-4). An early goal from the Green Terror gave McDaniels the early 1-0 lead, but just a little over ten minutes into the second half (55:29) junior midfielder
Kasey Wallace (Audubon, N.J.) buried his third of the year. This would be the final goal for both teams as the game ended in a 1-1 tie. Graduate captain goalkeeper
John Wagner (Phoenixville, Pa.) started all 90 minutes for the Griffins in net finishing with two saves in the tie (1-0-1).
Griffin Highlights:
- Not only did the score finish even, but both teams were evenly matched throughout with McDaniels getting the slight edge in the shot category 10-8.
- The Griffins and Green Terror had a chippy affair as there was a combine total five cards including a red card handed out to sophomore forward Braedon Kehan (Warrington, Pa.) (76:10).
- Both senior defenseman Mike Fienman (Philadelphia, Pa.) and junior defenseman Victor Cruz (New Castle, Del.) finished with a game-high two shots in the contest.
