Biography

JUNIOR (2021) – Wagner (19gp-16gs) made 15 of his 16 starts in goal, serving as the Griffins’ primary keeper. He owned a 1-14 record with a 5.31 goals-against-average (GAA), a .616 save percentage, and an Atlantic East Conference (AEC)-leading, and record, 117 saves in 1,238:11 minutes. Wagner also recorded a shot in his lone field start (9/17 vs. Bryn Athyn College).

SENIOR (2022) - Wagner (13gp-11gs) played 12 games in goal and started 11 of them. He also made one appearance as a forward. He totaled 914:06 minutes in goal, posting a 3.94 goals-against average (GAA) and .683 save percentage with an Atlantic East Conference (AEC) leading 86 saves. Wagner (0-11-1) earned his tie in the Griffins' 2-2 outcome versus Wilson College; he relieved sophomore forward/goalkeeper Shaine Kirby (Newtown, Pa.) in goal and made several acrobatic stops in a five-save second half that aided the Gwynedd Mercy University resurgence. Wagner also recorded a shot during the Griffins' loss to FDU-Florham (L, 0-4 on Sept 10). He was selected for 2022 College Sports Communicators (CSC) DII Academic All-District Men's Soccer Team and was one of 13 student-athletes named to the 2022 Philadelphia Area Sports Information Directors Association (Philly-SIDA) Men's Soccer Academic All-Area Team.

GRADUATE (2023) – Wagner (16gp-13gs) served as team captain and earned All-Atlantic East Conference (AEC) Second Team honors with his best season in the Red and Gold. He compiled a 4-5-4 record (1,125:00 minutes) with 71 saves on a .807 save percentage and a 1.36 goals-against average (GAA) and collected an AEC Defensive Player of the Week (Oct. 17) award with 10 saves in a 1-0-1 week that included a shutout of Immaculata University (W, 1-0 on Oct. 14). His .807 save percentage led the AEC and ranks third all-time for a single season. He finished his collegiate career (63gp, 41gs) on a 5-30-5 (2 shutouts) record with 276 saves on a 3.57 GAA and a .676 save percentage; he ranked fourth in saves and tied for first in ties. Wagner one of 13 student-athletes named to the 2023 Philadelphia Area Sports Information Directors Association (Philly-SIDA) Men's Soccer Academic All-Area Team.
