Gwynedd Valley, Pa. - (9/18/2023) - Gwynedd Mercy University (1-3-1) earned their first win of the year with a strong performance against Clarks Summit University (1-4-1) with a final score of 4-1. Sophomore forward Braedon Kehan (Warrington, Pa.) was all over the field for the Griffin as he finished with a game-high ten shots, four shots on goal, a goal, and two assists. Graduate captain goalkeeper John Wagner (Phoenixville, Pa.) (1-0) played all 90 minutes in the net for Gwynedd Mercy University and finished with a save. 
 
Griffin Highlights:

• Gwynedd Mercy dominated the shots category in their performance against the Defenders 36-9 outshooting them 12-1 within the first 15 minutes of the game. 
• Griffins' goals were scored by Kehan (20:26), junior midfield Kasey Wallace (Audubon, N.J.) (46:23), senior captain defenseman Mike Fienman (Philadelphia, Pa.) (69:46), and graduate captain forward Evan Kirby (Bensalem, Pa.) (73:30). 
• With the offensive pressure the Griffins were applying it allowed the team to lead the corner kick category 15-4. 

 
Gwynedd Mercy University looks to make it two in a row when they travel to McDaniel College on Wednesday, September 20, for a 4:00 p.m. kickoff.
