Women's Lacrosse Falls to Marymount

Arlington, VA - (4/5/23) - The Gwynedd Mercy Women's Lacrosse Team fell 3-22 on Wednesday night.

Highlights:
  • Despite Marymount's best effort to shut her down, Junior Captain, Kristin Varilla, was the lone scorer for the Griffins.  She found the back of the net 3 times unassisted.
  • Senior Captain, Reilly Owens, led her young defense and faced an onslaught of shots saving 12 of them.  The goalkeeper picked up ten of the Griffins' sixteen groundballs, more than double any other player on the field. 
  • Kristin Varilla and Alysia Collins earned the draw controls for the team. 

The Griffins will be back in action a week from today when they host Marywood for a 6pm start.
