Chester, Pa. - (4/22/2023) - Gwynedd Mercy University scored personal records in several events on the second day of the Widener University invitational. Junior Branden Soubik (Lansdale, Pa.) achieved the feat in the 400-Meter (20th, 50.63) and 200-Meter (8th, 22.27), while matching his best time in the 100-Meter (16th, 11.26). Freshman Radelson Smith was equally impressive with his personal records in the 100-Meter (36th, 11.67), 200-Meter (48th, 23.78), and the Long Jump (37th, 5.27). Junior Karam Aldarwich (Dresher, Pa.) completed the 300-Meter Steeplechase with a personal record time of 11:22.56 (22nd). The Griffins also saw personal records in the women's 200-Meter from sophomore Jenna Clarency (Philadelphia, Pa.) (40th, 27.82) and freshman Mikayla Brennan (Bensalem, Pa.) (71st, 32.88). Additionally, they respectively both ran their best times in the 100-Meter Hurdle (17th. 19.50) and 400-Meter (52nd, 1:17.73). Gwynedd Mercy University competes next on Friday, April 28th, at Elizabethtown College's Blue Jay Tune Up (2:00 p.m.).
