Griffins Sail Past Cyclones with 11 Goal Scorers and Owens' 500th Career Save

Hackettstown, N.J. - (4/19/23) - The Gwynedd Mercy Women's Lacrosse Team took down conference foe, Centenary University, 17-1 on Wednesday afternoon.

500 Career Saves - Reilly Owens (4/19/2023)Griffin Highlights:
  • Senior goalkeeper, Reilly Owens, earned her second career shut out while earning her 500th career save.
  • 11 Griffins scored throughout the game including Bri Godwin, Devyn Becker, Ayana Lyons, Grace Cooney, and Reilly Owens recording their first career goals. 
  • Kristin Varilla and Hailey Bloom led the offense with 3 goals apiece.  Varilla also dished out a career high 5 assists and Bloom won a career high 12 draw controls. 
  • Freshman goalkeeper, Melanie Rola, recorded a career high 6 saves while also picking up a career high 3 groundballs. 

The Griffs will be back in action next Wednesday, when they host Cabrini for a 4pm start.
