Gwynedd Valley, PA - (4/26/23) - Gwynedd Mercy Women's Lacrosse Team wrapped up regular season play with a 1-18 loss to Cabrini University on Wednesday afternoon.

Highlights:

• Senior goalkeeper, Reilly Owens, was on fire in the cage recording a phenomenal 18 saves.  She is one of only two goalies in the conference to record a 50% save percentage against the Cavaliers.  Owens also led her team in groundballs with 3 and had one of the team's 5 total caused turnovers.
• Sophomore midfielder, Alysia Collins, took 4 of the team's 7 shots and was the lone goal scorer for the Griffins.
• Sophomore attacker, Hailey Bloom, won 3 of the seven total draw controls for the team.  
• The Griffins' defense stood strong and caused four total shot clock violations by holding the Cavs for a full 90 seconds repeatedly.  Devyn Becker, Grace Cooney, Ayana Lyons, and Cheyenne Avellino all contributed groundballs and caused turnovers for their team.

The Griffs will be competing in the first round of the Atlantic East playoffs this Saturday at Marymount.
