Gwynedd Mercy, Pa. - (2/1/2023) Gwynedd Mercy University (14-10, 7-4) hosted their final home game of the regular season against Centenary University (New. Jersey) (9-15, 0-11). It was also Senior Night where seniors Elise Sylvester (Pottstown, Pa.) Cayla Sharkey (Lansadle, Pa.) Haley Crossley (Philadelphia, Pa.) and Kelly Owens (Schwenksville, Pa) were all honored before the game. The Griffins dominated the first half leading 39-12 and never looked back as they took a decisive 83-52 victory over the Cyclones. Sylvester finished with a game-high 27 points on 9-16 from the field. Sylvester also finished with four rebounds, four assists, and one steal. 

Griffins Highlights:

• Gwynedd Mercy forced Centenary into 30 turnovers which led to 30 points off turnovers for the Griffins. 
• The Griffins were fast on their rotations on the defensive side leaving no room for the Cyclones to manueveur and forced them 0-14 from beyond the arc. 
• Crossley again was chasing a triple-double, but ran out of time as she finished with 14 points, eight rebounds, and six assists. 
• Gwynedd Mercy came away with 17 offensive rebounds and finished the night with 44 rebounds compared to the Cylcones 39. 

The Griffins play their final regular season game when they travel to Cabrini University Saturday, February 18th, for a 1:00 p.m. tipoff.
