Scranton, Pa. - (4/20/2022) - Marywood University (10-5, 3-2) scored the first six goals of today's Atlantic East Conference (AEC) affair, leaving an unassisted score from sophomore midfielder GianLuca Lockhart (Turnersville, N.J.) as the only Gwynedd Mercy University (3-10, 1-3) score in the first quarter; 6-1 (0:02). With each side scoring a tally in the second quarter, 7-2 (5:09), a 4-3 Pacer second half precipitated an 11-5 victory for the home team.

Freshman midfielder Richie Hughes (Turnersville, N.J.) ( 2 goals) and freshman  midfielder Michael Knapp (Harleysville, Pa.) (goal, assist) recorded two points apiece for Gwynedd Mercy University. Lockhart and senior attack Cameron Ostroff (Wilmington, Del.) (9-3, 10:43 3QTR) were responsible for the other Griffin tallies. Junior Sam Flamma (Sewell, N.J.) led the defense in front of senior Aubron Swartley (Mechanicsburg, Pa.) with four ground balls and two caused turnovers. Swartley recorded 22 saves and a ground balls in the loss (3-9).
