Gwynedd Valley, Pa. - (3/30/2022) - Susquehanna University (6-5) scored the first five goals for the first quarter, before a unassisted score from sophomore midfielder GianLuca Lockhart (Turnersville, N.J.) got Gwynedd Mercy University (2-6) on the scoreboard with the last score of the period; 5-1 (3:03). The Griffins matched the River Hawks in the second quarter with sophomore midfielder Nick Flamma (Sewell, N.J.) responding to a visitor score with a man-up tally 2:55 before halftime; 6-2. Unfortunately, Susquehanna University doubled Gwynedd Mercy University's scores in the third quarter, 10-4 (0:24), and separated for a 14-5 win with a 4-1 favor in the final frame.

Flamma led the Griffins with three points (2 goals, 1 assist) as he assisted freshman midfielder Ian Kish (Easton, Pa.) with 10:05 (7-3) remaining in the third quarter and scored his second goal with 1:40 left in the contest. He also recorded four ground balls and a caused turnover. Kish totaled two goals while also recovering three ground balls. Lockhart recorded the initial Gwynedd Mercy University goal and grabbed four ground balls. In goal, senior Aubron Swartley (Mechanicsburg, Pa.) (2-5) made 13 saves and recovered a ground ball.

Gwynedd Mercy University competes next on Friday, April 1, when they complete thier non-conference schedule with a 7:00 p.m. contest versus Southwestern University.
