Arlington, Va. - (2/12/2022) - A slow start doomed Gwynedd Mercy University (13-9, 5-5) in this afternoon's Atlantic East Conference (AEC) contest at Marymount University (13-8, 7-2) as the Saints grabbed an 11-point, 15-4 (12:08), lead just eight minutes into the contest, led by 13 points (30-17, 0:52) at halftime, and gradually increased their position to 22 points by the final buzzer; 63-41 (0:43).

Freshman guard Da'Sean Lopez (Whitesboro, N.J.) came off the bench to lead the Griffins with 10 points. He also recorded four rebounds, an assist, and a pair of steals. Graduate guard Matt O'Connor (Philadelphia, Pa.) recorded nine points and two assists.
