Huntingdon, PA - (12/20/22) - The Gwynedd Mercy Men's Basketball Team fell 61-64 to Juniata College in the Juniata College Holiday Tournament Championship game.  Manny Clark and Aziz Parker were each named to the All-Tournament team. 

Highlights:

• Junior captain, Manny Clark, led his team in points (21) and steals (3) while also adding 3 assists and 5 rebounds.  Clark's performance bumps him to 4th on the AEC scoring leader board with 218 points.
• Sophomore forward, Dom Thomas, led his team with 7 rebounds and chipped in 10 points, 1 assist, and 1 steal. 
• While Gwynedd was efficient capitalizing on turnovers (18 pts) and bullying Juniata inside the paint (22), Juniata's depth and rebounding proved to be the difference maker, The Eagles outscored the Griffins 24 to 8 off the bench and beat them off the glass 33 to 24.
• The game went wire to wire, with each team exchanging leads 6 times throughout regulation, and each team holding a lead no greater than 6 points at any point throughout the night.
• With a minute left in the game the score was tied 60-60, but the Eagles capitalized on their opportunites and came out with the W.

The Griffs will be back in action this Thursday December 22nd when they travel to Staten Island to take on Wagner College for a 5pm start.
