Purchase, NY - (11/19/22) - Gwynedd Mercy University (0-4) took part in the Consolation Game against William Patterson University (3-1) held by Manhattanville College. The Griffins going into the second half were leading the Pioneers 35-32, but with the Pioneers outscoring the Griffins 40-30 in the second half William Patterson University walked away with a 72-65 victory.  Junior guard Manny Clark (Pottsgrove, Pa.) finished 6-12 (50%) from the field scoring 15 points and was 3-7 (42.9%) from behind the arc. Clark also finished with a team-high three steals and also recorded six rebounds. 

Griffin Highlights:

• Gwynedd Mercy and William Patterson both finished 27-64 (42.2%) from the field while the Pioneers led the three-point battle 10-27 (37%) to Griffins 8-25 (32%). 
• Gwynedd Mercy took advantage on the glass outrebounding William Patterson 34 to 44.
• Junior guard Aziz Parker (Westhampton, N.J.) finished 6-14 from the field and 2-8 from beyond the arc. Parker finished with 15 points, three rebounds, an assist, and a steal. 
• Coming off the bench sophomore forward Christian Isopi (Philadelphia, Pa.) provided a big ten rebounds. He also finished with six points, two assists, and a block.

Gwynedd Mercy University plays next on Tuesday, November 22, in an 8:00 p.m. tip-off at Alvernia University.
