Gwynedd Valley, PA - (10/22/22) - The Gwynedd Mercy Field Hockey Team took down Neumann 5-0 on senior day.

After the contest, the Griffs honored their three seniors #3 Victoria Poust, #15 Haley Didinger, and #17 Alexis Schambers.

Highlights:

• Griffins outshot the Knights 21-2.
• Griffin goals were scored by Kaci Murray (2), Cheyenne Avellino (2), and Amber Sims.  Caitlyn Thornton (2) and Kaci Murray each had assists on the day. 
• Sophomore goalkeeper, Morgan Lawless, had two saves on two shots.  
• Gwynedd Mercy opened up the scoring 14 minutes into the first quarter when Thornton sent the ball to Sims for a goal. Thornton assisted the second goal sending the ball to Avellino.  She also had a hand in the third and fifth goals setting up Murray for perfect scoring opportunities off a corner.  

The Griffs will be back in action on Tuesday for the last regular season game when they host Manhattanville College for a 4:00pm start.
