Biography

SENIOR (2021) – Murray (20gp-20gs) headlined Gwynedd Mercy University’s season with a 2021 National Field Hockey Coaches Association (NFHCA) All-Region IV Second Team selection and an All-Atlantic East Conference (AEC) First Team election. She captained a Gwynedd Mercy University defense that defied statistics and earned the AEC Field Hockey Defensive Player of the Week on October 11 after recording an assist and three defensive saves in Gwynedd Mercy University's 2-1 victory over Arcadia University (Oct. 6) and tallying the only goal of the Griffins' 1-0 AEC, and Senior Day, win over Immaculata University (Oct. 9). She also provided impressive defense in a brilliant finish that included a dramatic 1-0 double-overtime loss to #5 Kean University (Oct. 27), a 2-0 AEC Quarterfinal win over #6 Neumann University (Oct. 30), and a 2-0 AEC Semifinal loss to eventual league champion, #2 Cabrini University (Nov. 3). Murray's 10 defensive saves led the AEC and also tied a Griffin single-season mark set in 2016 by Noelle Schillinger '18. She ranks among the program’s Top-10 All-Time in defensive saves (T5th, 10) and penalty strokes (T10th, 1), while finishing her collegiate career with one goal, three assists, five points, 23 shots, a game-winning goal, a penalty stroke attempt, and 10 defensive saves.

GRADUATE (2022) – The Griffin captain offered another impressive season in 2022 as Murray (16gp-16gs) garnered her second straight First Team All-AEC First Team honor, her second straight NFHCA Division III All-Region IV Second Team laurel, and a spot in the 2022 NFHCA DIII Senior Game. She finished the season with 11 points on three goals and five assists, while leading the team in shots (37) and defensive saves (3). Murray scored the game-winner in Gwynedd Mercy University’s 3-1 win at Keystone College (Oct. 1) and recorded a five-point game (2 goals, 1 assist) in a 5-0 win over Neumann University (Oct. 22).
