La Plume, Pa.- Gwynedd Mercy University (4-5) traveled to Keystone College (5-5) where a pair of late goals from graduate midfielder Kaci Murray (Chalfont, Pa.) and sophomore forward Cheyenne Avellino (Egg Harbor, N.J.) allowed the Griffins to walk away with the 3-1 victory.
 
Griffin Highlights

• Sophomore forward Amber Sims (Perkasie, Pa.) kicked things off for the Griffins when she found the back of the net (1-0) with just 13 seconds left to play in the first quarter.
• Avellino assisted on the first goal.
• Five minutes into the fourth quarter Murray broke the 1-1 tie with an assist from graduate forward Caitlyn Thornton (Ivyland, Pa.)
• Avellino would cap things off with her adding another goal to the Griffins side (3-1) with just under eight minutes to play.
• Avellino finished with a team-high 4 shots on goal and added a goal and assist.
• Sophomore goalkeeper Morgan Lawless (Bristol, Pa.) earned the victory (4-5)
• Griffins outshot the Giants 12-4.

The Griffins begin conference play when they welcome St. Mary's College of Maryland on Wednesday, October 5, for a 4:00 p.m. showdown.
