Kilduff Joins GMercyU Athletics As Assistant Athletic Trainer

Heather Kilduff, Assistant Athletic Trainer
Gwynedd Valley, Pa. – (1/10/2022) – Gwynedd Mercy University Director of Athletics Keith Mondillo welcomes the New Year with the introduction of recently hired Assistant Athletic Trainer, Heather Kilduff. "I am excited that Heather has joined our athletic department. She will make an immediate impact on our student-athletes' development." Kilduff joins the Griffins after serving as the head athletic trainer at St. Georges Technical High School (July – December, 2021) in Middletown, Delaware. At St. Georges Technical High School, Kilduff oversaw the treatment and care of all varsity, junior varsity, and freshmen teams, including basketball, cheerleading, cross country, field hockey, football, soccer, track and field, volleyball, and wrestling.  
 
"I am overjoyed to join the Griffins! As I integrate into this new position, I plan to bring positive changes that foster and promote the most optimal healing and growing, both mentally and physically, for my student-athletes." A 2019 graduate of Temple University, Kilduff earned a bachelor's degree in athletic training while fulfilling her own student-athlete eligibility as a member of the Owls' cheerleading team. Kilduff also gained undergraduate experience rotating with various high schools across Philadelphia and New Jersey, as well as Temple University, Drexel University, and Chestnut Hill College. Following graduation, Kilduff served as the athletic trainer for both the Temple cheerleading and dance teams during their journey to the 2021 Universal Cheerleaders Association (UCA) Nationals. She is a member of the National Athletic Trainers' Association (NATA) and the Pennsylvania Athletic Trainers' Society (PATS). 
 
Kilduff currently resides in the South Philly neighborhood of Philadelphia, Pennsylvania, where she is an active community member who passionately volunteers with Girls on the Run. Girls on The Run empowers young girls at a critical stage, strengthening their confidence and empowering them while emphasizing the important connection between physical and emotional health. Outside of the athletic training room Kilduff can be found spending time with loved ones, running the Schuylkill River Trail, or cheering on any of Philadelphia's sports teams.
